Dating Scan 6-14 weeks

From the moment you take a positive pregnancy test, you may be looking to have confirmation of how many weeks pregnant you are, or an estimate of when you are due.

You may also wish to check your baby’s heartbeat prior to your 12 week NHS scan.

We can offer you a Dating scan from as early as 6 weeks, up until 14 weeks, performed by our fully qualified and regulated sonographers with years of experience in early pregnancy scanning. Our Dating scan can provide you with an estimate of your baby’s due date from 6 weeks onwards. You may wish to book this scan for any of the following reasons:

You are unsure of the date your conceived your baby
You have an irregular menstrual cycle
You would like an estimate of your baby’s due date.

We can provide you with estimated due date by measuring the length of your baby by the crown rump length (CRL), and from this measurement we can accurately date your pregnancy to +/- 5-7 days. In addition, we will check and show you your baby’s heartbeat, and check the health of your baby is as expected for the gestation. We will also check the number of babies.

Our qualified, experienced staff will ensure you have full understanding of your Dating scan and provide you with all necessary information on your next steps.

If the pregnancy is not continuing as we expect it to for the gestation, our kind, compassionate staff will ensure you have all the time and support you need, and will arrange a referral to your local early pregnancy clinic for continuing care.

Cost: £60

During your Dating scan, one of our qualified and experienced sonographers will:

Check on your baby’s heartbeat
Take a measurement of your baby’s CRL (Crown to Rump Length)
Check the position of your baby (in the uterus)
Check for multiple pregnancies
Provide you with printed pictures of your baby
Write a medical report, of which you will be provided with a copy.

Went for an early scan after a family member recommended here and then came for a 4D scan with my grandmother who is terminally ill. The ladies here could not have been more accommodating and made it such a lovely experience for us as a family despite the circumstances even just from the phone call enquiring and asking many questions. They are extremely patient here and even though the appointment time flies you aren't made to feel rushed at all. My Nan was thrilled with her surprise trip and loves the pictures we took away with us also.

My husband and I visited Babyvision with my mother-in-law for a 31 week growth scan. We've had a number of scans at different facilities during the course of our pregnancy but this was by far the best experience so far. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating, going out of their way to wear facemasks and keep their distance from my mother-in-law who is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The sonographer was very thorough, talking us through everything in detail and making a real effort to get us the best 4D view possible of our baby. In other facilities we have been in and out within 10 minutes, but at Babyvision you could tell the staff really cared about satisfying your needs as best as they can. Unfortunately as we don't live in the area it's unlikely we will be back again to visit before our baby arrives, but I couldn't recommend Babyvision more highly to anyone looking for a private scan.
Thank you again to the staff for making us feel so safe and welcome during our visit, we really appreciate it.

My partner and I went for our 20 week scan at Shrewsbury but unfortunately the little one would not let us know what we were expecting (legs closed to tight). Called baby vision and they very kindly made space for a gender scan as my partner had a reveal party in 2 days. We also did our first babies 4D scans here too brilliant company very friendly and the site is lovely. Thank you!

Cant recommended babyvision enough, lovely location, lòvely staff. We got plenty of time to see our baby and got shown hands and feet, and saw them moving around. we wanted to keep the gender to ourselves so it was so discrete and popped into an envelope for us. we got loads of pictures all beautifully presented in card pockets as keep sakes. i would highly recommend to anyone!!

I highly recommend babyvision. I've been for 2 reassurance scans and Ruth was extremely reassuring and helpful. I felt comfortable and Ruth was very happy to answer any questions that I had. When I went at 6 weeks Ruth took her time to let me see the heartbeat flicker.
I will defo be returning for our gender scan in a few weeks time 🥰 x

I used Babyvision twice in my 2nd pregnancy, first for an early reassurance scan and second for a 4D scan.
Both times we were so comfortable with the ladies there. They are so friendly and very knowledgeable.
On my early scan they went into great detail and even told me which ovary the egg had come from which I found amazing.
My 4D scan was equally as detailed and as we didn't want to know the gender they were very careful not to show anything that would give it away.
I would highly recommend Babyvision for scans at any stage.

I first came to baby vision when I was a teenager to first see my baby sister on the screen, about 9 years ago and have now come back in the last few years to meet my own two little boys. My experiences with baby vision have always been faultless, the staff have been so welcoming and reassuring and the atmosphere and location of the building is lovely. I will be sad to have my last baby vision scan with my current pregnancy as I think it will be my last, but very grateful for the memories I have, thank you ❤️
