Ruth Finch, the director and owner of Babyvision, has over fifteen year's experience of carrying out pregnancy scans, whilst working as a qualified Senior Ultrasonographer.

Ruth first qualified as a Radiographer in 1992 and specialised in Ultrasound from 1994. Ruth qualified as an Ultrasonographer gaining a Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical imaging science (ultrasound) from the University of Hertfordshire in 1996.

Having gained extensive experience in ultrasound scanning from the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and The Countess of Chester hospital, Ruth started Babyvision in 2005. Ruth also has some firsthand experience having three children, so can appreciate the worries you have when you are pregnant. Babyvision now consists of a small team of professionals dedicated to providing you with a complete range of specialist baby scanning services.

Adam Gornall qualified in Medicine from Liverpool University in 1988. Since then he has devoted most of his professional career to the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Within this speciality he has sub-specialised in Fetomaternal Medicine, completing this training in Leicester in 2003. His interest is therefore antenatal care, prenatal diagnosis and complicated pregnancies.

One of the main tools for prenatal diagnosis involves the use of ultrasound, in which he is highly trained. However the recognition that a baby may be abnormal is only part of the skill in prenatal diagnosis. He is also experienced in counselling parents and performing further tests that may be necessary such as amniocentesis or chorionic villous sampling.

Here at Babyvision he personally performs all scans associated with the combined test for Down's syndrome as well as more detailed anatomy scans and marker scans later in the pregnancy. Following the scan and calculation of risk he is able to offer one to one counselling and advice on the results. We believe this represents the very highest level of care.

Adam Gornall also works as a full-time Consultant at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital, Telford as well as a visiting Consultant to Ludlow Hospital.

Anna trained as a Registered Nurse at York District Hospital and qualified in 1988. Anna has spent most of her career in women's health and gynaecological nursing in York, Australia, Lincoln and Leicester.

Qualifying in Family Planning in 1994 and gaining the English National Board No1 certificate in gynaecological nursing in 1998 at Nottingham University, Anna also gained a first class honours degree in health care at York University in July 2000.

Anna Established and ran Leicester Hospitals NHS trusts first Nurse Led Early Pregnancy Assessment Service and worked as an Early Pregnancy Nurse Practitioner from 2000-2003.

Anna currently works as a family planning nurse for Telford and Wrekin PCT and as an Early Pregnancy Nurse Specialist at Babyvision.
